In the beginning boys and girls are kids... then girls get matured earlier and they become "TEENS" but the boys stay kids for a while... then suddenly every boy becomes an Old Man... but the girls stay as "TEENS"...
But evolution has changed the convention... now
boys and girls start as kids... girls continue to be kids and even cannot leave their childhood habit of playing with Teddy Bears when they are even near 30s... and the boys become DUDES and they continue to be until they loose their teeth and realize that soon they are going to die...

ReplyDelete'DUDE'- i detest this word. There are many words uttered that are purely meant to exhibit that you are fashionable... You feel COOL having uttered that word... however, the word FASHIONABLE that i have randomly used seems to have an enormous weight in all human activities of the present era, so far as my perception goes... ultimately how much fashionable you are, that really matters... it is disgusting; i have an outright resentment against it... that is why, Sandipan, nobody bothers about things which are genuine- at least in my dictionary i have things that are genuine and things that are not... So far as literature goes, india-toady, outlook and TOI are doing a fantastic job... they are to a large extent successful in westernising the general mindset... they encourage people to get BOLD and HONEST, (they shall always correlate any social issue to sex) ... In this reality show we are all default participants... i say this also because i have run into many people who kind of boast of the fact that they are readers of such magazines and newspapers... that is literature for them apart from the fantasies served by Sidney Sheldon... Music world is now ruled by music destroyers- mika, honey singh, mohit chauhan etc, etc... i feel embarrassed uttering their names... if you don't like them, you shall be attached a tag of a geek... have any of you watched 'Choti si baat'... i have watched that several times... a true master-piece... at times, it is wise to stay a geek... recently, i have watched it again...

ReplyDeleteit is best to remain numb... i am tired of watching this continuum of changes... you know i used to boast once, that i had this ability to change myself whenever situation demanded, often quoting "NOTHING IS CONSTANT EXCEPT THE CONSTANT CHANGE"... i cannot accept any more changes... i can see the waves rushing towards me... and i have no choice to step back... these waves have shattered many existences... i never knew changes are intimidating... now i know.
ReplyDeletethere was a time when the old man in an evening inn will look at some young fellows and will smile or chuckle at their immaturity... you know what ? I see him now sitting with them both "laughing out loud"ly watching reality shows... and almost none at the corner of the inn ! @Sauvik... I still believe at least a few are their who sits inside a hidden chamber in that inn... you can either enter that chamber or can just be lost... in both ways we are lost... but sometimes its good to be lost if you want to taste freedom!
